Hello pookies
yayyyy another page of axelita's yapping !!!
What I have enjoyed this week:
Barcelona!
My dear friend Paul invited me over to his sister's apartment together with our dear friend Carmen!! So I got to spend a few days in the city. It was super beautiful, with maximalist architecture everywhere and so many hot people... congrats to the catalans on being beautiful. We were lucky to have great weather, not insanely warm but warm enough to go play in the waves (my favorite thing to do probably). I took many naps on the sand and baked a cake for my friends. I really loved the pretty balconies, the amount of stained glass, the patterns on the sidewalk tiles and the art nouveau lamp posts.
Making my own dress up game
I had this idea to add a page on my website with pictures of the clothes that I have sewn or knitted. I then thought that I should make it into a dress up game like the ones I used to play as a kid. It took many different trials to get to a version I'm fully satisfied about, but I did it!! You can now make outfits from things I've sewn here. I'm excited to add my future creations!!
Snobby ice cream
A few years ago I saw this tiktok with this beautiful Italian lady leading a group of tourists around Rome and explaining how to find good, authentic gelato. The criteria were: the gelato should be in containers with lids, preferably round, and not with some foamy dome texture on top (it means they turn the gelato around to incorporate air which is not good for the texture). Pistachio should be brownish in color, banana should be beige/brown and no gelato should be too neon or bright coloured. Also the list of flavors should be relatively small. Anyways, ever since learning this I have eaten the most delicious gelato and anytime I am on vacation, I thouroughly scan the city for the perfect scoop. Life changing advice, mark my wordFundacio Joan Miro
Miro has been one of my favorite artist ever since I got into art in general. Last week I got to visit the Joan Miro Foundation in Barcelona, where a lot of his work is displayed. It was a wonderful experience!! I have this weird soul bond with his paintings, it's like every cell in my body aspires to become one of those vaguely feminine silhouette surounded by stars and birds. Maybe the one man who truly understands the female experience??

As always, do reach out if you have something to comment on :D I hope you are all having a lovely summer and I hope you will manage to find rrally good gelato !!
See ya next week!!!
Axl :)
