Hello pookies
here is some yapping about recent days :D not so much happened but I will still share some stuff I've enjoyed in an attempt to influence all of you into liking the same stuff as I do hihi

Weekly obsessions:

• The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann

  I read this book a couple of months ago since japanese breakfast recommended it, and I really really enjoyed it. I talked about it with so many people recently for random reasons so I felt like reading it again. But it's one long ass book so I've just been listening to the audiobook while knitting or drawing. Anyhow. It's about this guy who visits his cousin in a sanatorium in Switzerland in the early 1900s and ends up staying there for years sharing the life of the other patients in the facility. It's a bit unclear if he is actually sick or not which is quite interesting, there's this kind of dreamy/removed from reality vibe to the place where time is distorted and the rules are different. The main character was so likable, if I met an incredibly rude yet beautiful russian woman, I too would stare at her from across the dining hall for years before having a breakdown watching her leave and carrying her insides with me everywhere... So yeah, I recommend it too!!!!

• Coding this website

  Since my friend showed me neocities a couple months ago, I've been brainstorming so much about making my own site and developed big ambitions. Now that I have a little extra free time, I have spent quite a bit of time making something I'm happy about. I think it looks super cute!!! I stil have a loooong to do list of stuff I'd like to add, but I also do not want to pressure myself too much about it so it will take the time that it will take. But mostly I'd really love to add some pictures of the clothes I make, I think that's my top priority. I'm so excited!!

• Making power points with my friends

  One of our favorite activities among my friend group is to have 'power point nights' where we all make a powerpoint and then present it in front of the others. We've hosted many over the year! During this last one, the themes were "Which horror movie character would we be?" (I was "the final girl" hehehehe #girlboss), "My plan to win Secret story" (french reality tv show where participants hide secrets) and then paul made a super weird one about youtube miniatures that idk how to describe here. Mine was a tour of our future shared house!! here are a few slides lol


• Forever Howlong - Black country, new road

  Cringe men on the internet have been complaining about this album saying that it's shit since the former main vocalist/songwriter leaving the band. I think it is their best !!! (but then again i have misandrist tendancies). The writing is excellent and the melodies are so creative and immersive. My favorite song is 'Nancy tries to take the nigt', so if you have to listen to only one piece i'd recommend this one. But the whole album is worth listening to!! I think it is a good album to take a walk to (but then all albums are to be fair). You might like it if you enjoy poetry, folk-ish sounds with layers and restrained yearning...
