About this website
It was created in late May 2025 with little programming experience. Well, lots of programming experience in R and some bits in Python but llllllllPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ (sorry my cat walked on my keyboard) html/css is wildly different so I'm not sure how much that helped.
Originally, I made this site intending for it to be a simple blog: I have had an email newsletter for my friends for a while, and I wanted a place to archive said newsletters. But then I got super inspired seeing all the super cool sites on neocities and this one got a little out of hand haha... Now I spend all my free time playing around with having this little personnal yet public place to scream into the void on. I'm still very new to this concept of web communities but eager to learn!!
If you are lost and looking for something specific, you can refer to the site map. Though I intended for this site to be a bit messy with lots of pages in all direction, so snoop around if you prefer :D

About me
My name is Axelle and I am a 22yo PhD student in evolutionary ecology. Nice to meet you!
I love biology and currently work with bug communities in european oak forests. My hobbies include sewing, knitting, drawing, reading, playing videogames, vegan cooking & baking and dancing around my apartment.
I speak french, english, swedish, spanish and italian (in that order of proficiency) and I have lived in multiple countries all over Europe.
I'm super interested in slow travel (i.e. without flying) from both a logistical standpoint (most cheap+efficient way to get from point A to point B by train and bus only) but also a desire to rewrite the way we think about traveling.
Things I like (in no particular order): tiramisu, the color orange, insects, modern & contemporary art, celebrations, living by the sea, soup, postcards, trains, teapots, supermarkets, ceramic tiles, crabs, star patterns, taking a walk, fabric, clementines, rock music, fantasy books, lesbians, overpriced sweet drinks, rollerskating, tofu, sailor moon, band tshirts, romcoms, the smell of grapefruit, lectures, dancing, windmills, museums, coffee, knitting
